Manchester United have now spent over £500m, servicing the debt that was put onto the club by the Glazers… While legally allowed, there is a certain moral decay in our society when a company can be made to bear the costs of their own buyout, while the buyers are able to remove millions in management fees…

United’s day of reckoning is in the post – consistent underinvestment in the playing staff is starting to take its toll, the quality of the squad is nowhere near what it was circa 2008. When Ferguson goes, United will struggle to find another manager who can maintain elite levels of performance with one hand tied behind his back.
